Jeremy Bradley- Hayley Marie Norman from Deal or No Deal is joining us on the line right now. Hi, Hayley. How are you?
Hayley Marie- Hey. I'm doing awesome. How are you?
JB- Good, thanks. Now, first thing I have to ask: as case number 25, how many nosebleeds have you had so high up in the rows of models. Looks like it could be scary being up there.
HM- (laughing) It's actually awesome being up there because we wear those really big high heels. So, when you're up at the top, all you have to do is walk up the stairs, you don't have to walk down the stairs. I always feel bad for the girls that are at the front because they have to walk the longest and there's a higher chance that they'll fall. I'll take a nosebleed over falling down those stairs any day.
JB- Has anybody ever fallen, or no?
HM- Oh, yeah, tons of girls. It happens all the time.
JB- Oh my.
HM- (laughing) Because the days are all really long and you're wearing these high heels and there's all this music and lights. With the lights flashing it might be easier to think you're stepping on something but fall. It's happened quite often.
JB- No serious injuries though?
HM- No serious injuries. A couple cases just got damaged, but that's just about the extent of it.
JB- If you could be any other case number, what would it be?
HM- I never played sports as a kid and this has become, like, my football number - the number 25. I love being case number 25. I love the number 25 now. However, number 3, my whole life, was my favourite number. So, I would say it would be case number 3. But, not really 'cause I like 25. (laughing)
JB- Let's talk about the all-new Deal or No Deal episodes. There's another one airing tonight. When we talked with Patricia (Kara) last week, she said there's a monkey or something on the show. What's that about? Or did she mean Howie?
HM- She meant Howie. And, I've told Patricia so many times, "You've gotta stop calling Howie a monkey." (laughing) No, we have an actual monkey on the show. And, on Deal or No Deal, you never know what to expect every day. I go into work and like, OK, let's see what's going to happen today. But, yeah, there's a monkey on the show, which is pretty fun.
JB- Just so I have this right, the monkey is not the contestant. What is the monkey's role?
HM- (laughing) Oh my god, that would be so cool to have a monkey that was a contestant. The monkey is an offer from the banker to try and distract the contestant.
JB- Interesting. I guess we'll just have to watch to understand.
HM- Yes.
JB- After being on the show for so long, everybody seems to be obsessed with it - does it feel like your hair is a celebrity sometimes?
HM- It's so awesome. It's kind of fun 'cause I used to be teased as a kid for having, you know, the big 'fro, now all of a sudden it's cool, so I'm like this is pretty awesome. People recognize me just from Deal. It's unreal. Sometimes I wear it up and a little messy and so it looks kind of small, and obviously I'll be talking to people and I'll take it down and they'll be like, "Oh my god, you're on Deal or No Deal." Which is funny because people identify me with my hair now.
JB- What's your summer plan for the do?
HM- My summer plan for the do? You know what, my hair hasn't really changed much in my 25 years of life. So, the do is going to stay the same, but just get cooler every minute and get bigger and better.
JB- You wouldn't be you without it, right?
HM- I wouldn't be me without it… well, I love my hair. I love it.
