Jeremy Bradley- Patricia Kara from Deal of No Deal is here. Hi, Trisha. How are you?
Patricia Kara- Good! How are you?
JB- I'm good, thanks. So, Deal or No Deal is back and I have to ask: are your arms ready?
PK- (laughing) Yes, I'm always ready. I train for this.
JB- I was going to say, you know, you go for a job interview and you're hired and then there's training. What sort of training is there for Deal or No Deal?
PK- There's briefcase school.
JB- Oh.
PK- You didn't know about briefcase school? (laughing) Actually, you'd be surprised, but sometimes we get stuck opening the cases - the latch messes up, or something - you'd be surprised at the little things that can happen. We've actually dropped cases before. I've dented one before. Yeah, there's definitely some skill involved to hold it together.
JB- There's probably a whole room of just spare cases in the event of an emergency.
PK- Yes, and we've definitely had those emergencies.

JB- The world knows you as case number 9. There's a lot more that people might not know about your long history in show biz. Let's recap what you've done: you've done celebrity reporting.
PK- Yes, I have.
JB- TV guest-starring roles.
PK- Yes.
JB- Of course, modelling, we know that.
PK- Yup. You're good!
JB- I've done my research, hey?
PK- Yeah, I love it.
JB- All the information was in this big case I opened up.
PK- (laughing) I didn't expect that one.
JB- And you've done lots of charity work - the Make A Wish Foundation and several other organizations.
PK- You make the time. You definitely make the time. So, always keeping busy. I can't sit still anyway, so it's perfect for me to be doing everything. I love it. I really truly, truly enjoy it. Along with that, we have the primetime and syndication show.
JB- Right, now the daytime show is a little different than the primetime show.
PK- Yes, but in that the contestants do it, we don't hold the contestants…no, I mean… (laughing)
JB- Aww, that's sweet.
PK- (laughing) We really don't hold the contestants.
JB- That's nice.
PK- Yes, we do. We hold the contestants. The contestants hold the cases instead of the girls.
JB- They don't hold the girls? Wait, what did you say?
PK- I accidentally said the girls hold the contestants - yes, we hold them. They need to be held sometimes. (laughing)
JB- If they lose out on the big money, they might need to be held.
PK- Right. Sometimes you need a moment and we're there for you.
Patricia Kara
You probably know her as "case #9" on Deal or No Deal. Patricia talks about the return of the NBC primetime show.
